Read At Your Own Risk: This article may contain possible spoilers for American Gods Season 2

Despite criticisms and bad reviews, Starz looked the other way and renewed American Gods for another season. And although the plot holes are quite apparent in the recent installment, the whole fandom is still looking forward to American Gods Season 3.

The pilot season of the show obtained great reviews and receptions from its audience. And as a Neil Gaiman's product, it is not impossible as to why the show is being embraced by many people today.

The course of the American Gods is an adaptation to Neil Gaiman's paperback of the same title. But while the plot is a mere correspondence to the books, Starz's American Gods is beginning to have its own identity.

The lead stars and cast members themselves attest to the notion that the show is evolving on its own. And thanks to Neil Gaiman's presence to the show's production, the series is becoming more creative, original, and artistic.

Aside from the identity of the show in comparison to the books, the lead stars of American Gods also talked about George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones, which is an adaptation to his novel, The Song of Ice and Fire.

The stars, most notably, Ian McShane and Ricky Whittle, who play the roles of Mr. Wednesday and Shadow Moon, respectively, told Digital Spy that American Gods could be the next Game of Thrones. And this is a consideration to the fact that the HBO show is already meeting its imminent finale this month.

Ricky Whittle did mention that American Gods will not be replacing anything since it has a story of its own. But even so, he believes that it is "more beautiful" than Game of Thrones.

American Gods Season 2 just aired in March of this year. And just after a few weeks, it has been already announced that American Gods Season 3 is already coming soon.

While there is no actual release date yet for its premiere, it has been hinted already that American Gods Season 3 will air before the summer of 2020 ends. Hence, the fandom could expect for its arrival in between June and July.

As for the cast members, the lead stars will reprise their roles. As for Yetide Badaki, Orlando Jones, Pablo Schreiber, and Mousa Kraish, they might still return in American Gods Season 3, and that is if their roles survived their imminent passings last season.
