Animal Kingdom Season 4 is about to hit the small screens to continue the Codys' different adventure. TNT has dropped the show's official trailer, teasing the new chaos the family will bring and series of fighting that they will get involved.
There will be a war between J (Finn Cole) and Smurf (Ellen Barkin) in Animal Kingdom Season 4. There will be a battle between the new criminal mastermind and the original gangster, as the young one wants to prove himself and show what he can do.
It will be a big benefit for J to do what he must without Smurf's help in Animal Kingdom Season 4, per CarterMatt. It will not only mean that he will earn more money but also more earnings for the rest of the boys.
Animal Kingdom Season 4 will slowly start things, as it focuses more on Pope (Shawn Hatosy) and Smurf's story than Smurf and J. There will also be identity problems and a journey to analyze what the world has to bring.
In Animal Kingdom Season 4 premiere episode, titled "Janine," the Codys will perform risky robbery that will make Craig (Ben Robson) realize things. Smurf and Pope's relationship will remain rocky as the latter tries to release his anger in a new way.
Deran (Jake Weary) will let Adrian (Spencer Treat Clark) get involved in the family business in Animal Kingdom Season 4 despite Craig's warnings. J will also try how his new identity will work outside the Cody empire. Lastly, a new criminal crew will be introduced that has a surprising connection to the family.
Animal Kingdom Season 4 premiere episode's title, "Janine," is said to be Smurf's real name. So, it might have a connection with the former criminal mastermind. According to IndieWire, after the previous season ended with J trying to show his willingness to challenge Smurf's authority, he was not the only one who wanted to dare the Codys' status quo.
Of course, Barkin returns to reprise her role as Smurf in Animal Kingdom Season 4. With the comeback of the Cody family, fans can expect to see their "pilfering methods" once again from armed theft to masks faces and "see-through plastic nightmare rigs."
Original cast members Hastosy, Cole, Robson, and Weary, will all return with Barkin in Animal Kingdom Season 4 with new faces like Kelli Berglund, Jon Beavers, and Grant Harvey. The show will continue to be set in Southern California and will be out on Tuesday, May 28, on TNT.
