Daenerys' (Emilia Clarke) storyline in Game of Thrones Season 8 has significantly changed from being the innocent people's savior to a true Targaryen by turning into a mad queen. As the mother of dragons seems to be unstoppable, can Sansa (Sophie Turner) do anything about it?

Nobody thought Daenerys could kill thousands of innocent people in Episode 5, titled "The Bells." Despite ringing the bell of surrender, Khaleesi continued to ravage the city with fire, destroying every building and even the Red Keep.

Sansa probably knows what is happening in King's Landing, although she is in Winterfell and she may do something about it, per Harper's Bazaar. As it will be the end, will fans get a last glimpse to the Lady of Winterfell in Game of Thrones Season 8 to stop Daenerys from her madness?

Sansa never trusts Daenerys. Ever since the so-called queen arrives in Winterfell, she dislikes the Breaker of Chains. Sansa feels Daenerys wants everyone to be under her, but she promises the North will never bow down to anyone.

Her distaste grew bigger after Daenerys wanted their forces to attack King's Landing so she could face Cersei (Lena Headey), not giving their armies the proper time to rest after the Battle of Winterfell. She also didn't like how Jon Snow (Kit Harington) kneeled to her queen.

Ever since Sansa learned Jon is not her brother but a real Targaryen, she knew he is the one who should sit on the Iron Throne and not Daenerys. As the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, the Warden of the North is the true heir and has all the rights to claim the seat in Game of Thrones Season 8.

As Jon repeatedly said he didn't want the throne and wanted Daenerys to keep it, Sansa knew it should never happen. So, she opted to break the promise of secrecy and told Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) about Jon's real identity.

In an interview with showrunner D.B. Weiss, via Thrillist, he said what Sansa did was a "deft strategic move." "She's a student of Littlefinger, and she knows how information travels," he said. "She can think many steps ahead into the game the way Littlefinger did and knows if she tells Tyrion, it's almost impossible for Tyrion not to tell Varys."

However, learning Varys (Conleth Hill) knew the truth, Daenerys sentenced him with death. It remains to be seen if the Spider managed to disseminate the information about Jon's real identity as the heir of the throne after he was seen writing about him before he died in Game of Thrones Season 8.

Also, it remains to be revealed if Sansa can stop Daenerys' madness by telling the truth about Jon as the real heir of the Iron Throne. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6, the final episode, will be out on Sunday, May 19, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
