Breaking News: Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo Devoice Rumors Come Ture, Song-Song Couple Ending Their Marriage
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's marriage has been a favorite subject of rumors lately. A Chinese news outlet called Sina, previously, claimed that the Descendants of the Sun stars' relationship is hitting rock bottom since they were sighted not wearing their wedding rings on separate occasions. However, the same publication found out that the divorce rumors are not true at all.
Avid followers of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo were upset when Sina sparked divorce rumors in March. The news outlet, previously, hinted that things might not be good between the Song-Song couple. Other online publications, such as Blasting News, picked up the reports and suggested that Joong Ki and Hye Kyo could have "divorced already."
Neither Song Joong Ki nor Song Hye Kyo has commented on the speculations. However, the Arthdal Chronicles star, effortlessly, debunked the divorce rumors via a behind-the-scenes video of his up-and-coming new television series. Viewers noticed that Joong Ki was wearing his wedding ring while reading the script of the imminent tvN fantasy-drama show.
Devoted supporters of the Song-Song couple were pleased to know about it. Sina, which received criticisms for claiming that the Descendants of the Sun star's happy-ever-after is over already, reinforced its previous claim and stated that everything is fine between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.
In March, a fan shared a photo with Song Joong Ki during an event. The said image featured two male fans alongside Song Hye Kyo's wife. While it appears to be just a normal groupfie, sightseers were quick to notice the wedding band that Joong Ki was wearing on the ring finger of his left hand.
It was, later, learned that the photograph was taken when Song Joong Ki was in Brunei to shoot for his forthcoming new tvN series titled Asadal Chronicles. Prior to the publication of the image, reports about the Song Hye Kyo's husband was seen wearing no wedding ring in the airport spread like wildfire.
The respective talent agencies of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo had debunked the divorce rumors already. It even stated that the Song-Song couple does not need to comment on these rumors for these are completely baseless and untrue.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki, previously, opened up about his love for Song Hye Kyo. In an interview with Esquire Magazine last year, the Descendants of the Sun star revealed some interesting details about his married life since the couple tied the knot on October 31, 2017.
"In the past, someone I know told me that being able to find a wife you can love forever is a gift of destiny. I believe that the greatest thing a man can do is to love his woman," Song Joong Ki told the magazine. "Though some may place value in attaining fame and fortune, I believe the most beautiful thing in the world is being a man who can love his woman in an unchanging way," the better half of Song Hye Kyo went on.
Song Joong Ki added that he and Song Hye Kyo are still on "dating stage" despite the fact that they have been married for quite some time now. He even described his wife as "so pretty" during the interview.
Joong Ki is set to return to the small screens on June 1, 2019, via Arthdal Chronicles. Hye Kyo, on the other hand, is said do another film under Jet Tone Films, which is a production company of director Wong Kar Wai.
