Though the real-life partners of Amelia Warner and Chris Martin clearly benefited from the fame they earned through the erotic drama movie franchise, Jamie revealed he was a bit hesitant to do the bed scenes with Dakota.
During an interview in a Podcast series called Something Else TV, Jamie Dornan recalled the times when he was still working on the Fifty Shades films with Dakota Johnson. At first, the husband of Amelia Warner revealed that his "modesty pouch" is the most disgusting part of his journey as Christian Grey. "Isn't that f***ing disgusting? It's a little sack you put all your bits in and flesh coloured..." Jamie stated. "It looked a bit frayed around the edges. Imagine the stuff that's been inside," the 37-year-old Irish actor added.
Jamie Dornan, also, divulged that he did not want to get full naked at first for he was not confident with his shape. "I only found out I was doing the job five weeks before the job started. I tried (to get in shape) but my wife was 36 weeks pregnant," the former leading man of Dakota Johnson said. ""To be honest, in the first film... the character was obsessed about being in shape, I wasn't in good enough shape for the first one compared to what I was for the other two," Jamie went on.
Though he had some issues in the early stages of the film franchise, Jamie Dornan is thankful that the Fifty Shades movie gave him the big break. The better half of Amelia Warner revealed that his portrayal as Christian Grey has brought so much changes in in life and of his family. Besides the finances, the former on-screen partner of Dakota Johnson, also, acknowledge that the franchise opened a lot of doors in his career as an actor.
It was, previously, revealed that Jamie Dornan was not the first choice to play the lead role. However, despite this, he pulled it off and completed the film series with flying colors. Along with the popularity, rumors, also, hounded Jamie and his ex-leading lady, Dakota Johnson.
