The online beauty world erupted last week over a feud between three of its most famous influencers: Tati Westbrook, James Charles and Jeffree Star. It all started when Tati made a YouTube video ending her friendship with James.
Jeffree Star is known to be friends with both James Charles and Tati Westbrook. So when the two YouTube stars had a public fallout, many were curious as to whose side will Jeffree pick.
For those who have been following this drama, you probably know by now that Jeffree Star took Tati’s side. However, nobody anticipated that the 33-year-old Internet celebrity, makeup artist, model, entrepreneur, and singer-songwriter would drop a bombshell about James Charles.
There were a lot of whispers and speculations that Jeffree Star and James Charles were not friends anymore. However, the rumor was never confirmed by both camps — until now.
Although Jeffree Star was not a part of the James Charles and Tati Westbrook drama, he was a witness of how it led to the fallout. He decided to break his silence and also shared the reason why he’s not friends with the 19-year-old anymore.
In her viral video, Tati accused James Charles of hitting on straight young boys and using fame as a way of seducing them. Without completely sharing the whole story, Jeffree Star confirmed this by posting a tweet that made everybody’s jaw drop!
When the brother of James Charles tweeted, “Why does everyone act so tough on the internet” after Jeffree Star weighed in on the drama, the latter had a brutal response to that.
"There is a reason that Nathan (his boyfriend) banned James Charles from ever coming over to our home again," Jeffree Star wrote. "There's a reason why I haven't seen him since @GlamLifeGuru's (Tati) birthday in February. He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% true."
Jeffree Star then continued, “Why’d you really move back to NYC? (pointing the question to Ian, James Charles’ brother). Exactly, shut the f*ck up.” Ian's tweet is now deleted, so is Jeffree's.
Many assumed that James Charles is now banned in Jeffree Star’s home because he might have attempted to seduce Nate/Nathan, or his brother Zac. This speculation, however, has yet to be confirmed.
Ever since James Charles was criticized by Tati, his follower count on YouTube dropped by approximately three million, whereas Tati just recently hit 10 million (she had 5 million subscribers before the drama). Adding Jeffree Star’s shocking revelation to the mix, James’ sub count is expecting to drop even more.
