Game of Thrones Season 8 has ended, and fans still have a lot of feelings about it. The Six Kingdoms now has a new King, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), as the North chooses to be an independent realm, led by Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

The show proves it is the North who will rule the Seven Kingdoms as the last of the Starks play significant roles to lead their people. Sansa is now the Queen of the North, Jon (Kit Harington) returns to The Wall to join the Night's Watch as part of his punishment for killing Daenerys (Emilia Clarke), and Arya (Maisie Williams) decides to go explore the west of Westeros.

Westeros will rise again after Daenerys burned the King's Landing to ruins with Bran and his new counselors. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) now sits as the Hand, Bronn (Jerome Flynn) as the Master of Coins and Master of Highgarden as promised, Sam (John Bradley) as the Grand Maester, Davos (Liam Cunningham) as Master of Ships, and Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) as Lord Commander of Kingsguard. Also, Podrick Payne (Daniel Portman) is now a Knight.

Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, now called D&D, have redeemed themselves for featuring a fitting finale after a lot of complaints about Game of Thrones Season 8 in general, from start to finish. In fact, there is even a Change.org petition where a fan eyes to gather 1.5 million signatures to remake the whole season. The campaign now has over 1.1 million signatures as of this writing.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Benioff and Weiss wanted everyone to love Game of Thrones Season 8 Finale as it mattered for a lot of them. "We've spent 11 years doing this. We also know no matter what we do, even if it's the optimal version, that a certain number of people will hate the best of all possible versions," Weiss said.

He continued to say they did the best they could to make Game of Thrones Season 8 a better version compared to its predecessors. However, they knew not everyone was going to like it, and fans would always ask for more. They were even worried how people would accept it as Benioff added a "good story isn't a good story if it has a bad ending."

Benioff and Weiss insisted Game of Thrones Season 8 finale would be way different from George R.R. Martin's conclusion of A Song of Ice and Fire novel series, which the show was based on. In a talk with the author, the showrunners assured they had no plans to reveal the television and novel series' differences, so people could experience it fresh.
