Read At Your Own Risk: This article contains spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow Season 4.
Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 ended just a few days ago. Although the series featured a weird and dysfunctional set of heroes and anti-heroes, the course of the series showed promising characters throughout the plot. And when the fourth season finale concluded, it stepped up the game of the series for more.
The whole fandom has witnessed the huge cliffhanger at the end of Legends of Tomorrow Season 4. While it caused everyone to become so much more eager for a new season, The CW Network has already renewed the show for another season. Even so, the fans will still need to wait for its 2020 arrival.
So far, little has been shared about the upcoming season of the show. Nevertheless, the series showrunner, Phil Klemmer, has already hinted a lot of things about the new season.
As you may know, Zari's character was erased at the finale of the current installment due to the success of teaching tolerance. This success caused for the Legends to ultimately erase the dystopian 2042 from the world's history. And as a result, Zari was naturally replaced by her previously dead brother, Behrad.
While no one can no longer remember Zari and her existence since it has become a new timeline, Nate, obviously sensed that something or someone is missing. Also, it has been introduced already what Astra did that will change the course Legends of Tomorrow Season 5.
Quite clearly, these closing points from the current installment will serve as the introductory points of the new season. And as per the showrunner, Zari will no longer return on the upcoming season of the show. Even so, the actress who played the role of Zari, Tala Ashe, will still return but will take a whole new role.
Accordingly, it seemingly appears that Nate will try to find Zari on the next season. But from the words of the showrunner, he revealed that Nate would not like what he will find. So, it is possible that he'll find Zari's look alike, but things will no longer be the same.
He also mentioned that the souls of evil ones from hell, whom Astra offered second chances, will not be the main villain or the "big bads" of the new season. He admitted that they would be the future "episode bads" but not the ultimate for the season.
With these details at hand, it only goes to show that Legends of Tomorrow Season 5 will offer a whole new tone in comparison to what it used to have in its previous seasons.
On another note, the series is confirmed to take part in the upcoming Crisis In Infinite Earths crossover episode. This crossover will feature characters from all the shows in the Arrowverse, including Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Batgirl. Furthermore, it will air in five parts within two quarters starting this fall of 2019.
