Isaac Mayfield's (Marc Elliott) return to Dominic Copeland's (David Ames) life surprised a lot of fans of Holby City. As it raised a lot of questions, fans also wondered how it would affect the general surgical registrar in the next episodes.
In last week's episode, Dominic had a wound on his chest. Did he once again got hurt by Isaac? Isaac had been insisting that he already changed, as his time in prison also gave him the chance to reflect and turned into a better person. However, he later revealed disturbing information that might once again give him the power to control Dominic.
Dominic's abusive boyfriend's return makes fans worried. It looks like Isaac is planning something against Dominic in Holby City, and it is truly sinister. Isaac tried to change the situation and turned to be Dominic's shoulder to cry on when the initial was treating the latter's father at the hospital, and when he heard Lofty (Lee Mead) was cheating on him.
In Holby City Episode 22, things will remain sour between Dominic and Lofty, which something that makes Isaac happy, per Mirror Online. Lofty will try to protect Dominic from Isaac, but he will not listen to her that will make their marriage more strained.
Will Isaac successfully tear Dominic and Lofty's marriage? Will Dominic once again fall into his trap in Holby City?
Isaac got fired from Holby City when Dominic reported he was physically abusing him. He then went to prison. However, in an interview with Digital Spy, Elliott revealed old feelings could rise again between the two in Holby City.
"I think it's a 'moth to a flame' type of thing," Elliott said. He admitted Isaac had been abusive of their relationship. He even pictured him as a "horrible human, really controlling, and nasty. But with Stockholm Syndrome, something still makes Isaac alluring in Holby City.
"I think there is a spell that he's cast over Dominic, and it's a sexual spell, and there's intrigue," Elliott explained. "So there's lust, there's intrigue, there's respect - there are lots going on there, and I think it's very complex."
Elliott revealed Isaac and Dominic's relationship is quite complicated. Dominic may not help but to return to Isaac's arms and easily fall in his trap. However, it remains to be seen if they will do it with or without Lofty in the picture. Holby City Season 21 Episode 22 will be out on Tuesday, May 28, at 8 p.m. on BBC One.
