Queen Elizabeth II reportedly got mad when risqué photos of Princess Diana leaked, wherein she was in her bikini while pregnant. Here's what happened why Her Majesty was annoyed and horrified during those times.

Royal photographer Arthur Edwards revealed in the 2019 Sunday Night documentary Royal Baby that the most intrusive photos of Princess Diana he captured made Queen Elizabeth really mad. He admitted that he decided to go to the Bahamas when he found out the Prince and Princess of Wales will be going there as well for a holiday vacation.

Edwards confessed they were hiding in bushes, so they were able to capture the pregnant Princess Diana wearing a bikini while she was Prince Charles. He said those were "intrusive photos" and has sparked massive row in the House of Commons.

He also noted that he regretted what he had done, and vowed he would never do it again. Edwards couldn't do it now as well since he knows Prince William would sue any photographers leaking risqué photos of the royal family.

Meanwhile, according to royal correspondent Ingrid Seward, Queen Elizabeth got really annoyed and horrified with the leak images and she even called all the editors of the national newspapers for a meeting at the Buckingham Palace.

Her Majesty reportedly said at that time they have to "leave the Princess of Wales alone." But then, Seward believed they didn't really listen to the monarch. It can be recalled that in 2012, Prince William's wife Kate Middleton had topless photos and were published in the cover pages of a French magazine.

Those pictures were reportedly captured when the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge went in Provence, France for a vacation. The royal couple sued the said magazine and the case became close in 2017 and the two were awarded $120,000 in damages.

A spokesperson at the Kensington Palace said that particular incident is considered as a serious breach of privacy and they wanted to point out that was an unjustified intrusion. The palace promised it would never happen again and they will pursue legal remedies to those planning on doing such.

In fact, Prince William isn't afraid to take legal actions, especially those who intrude their privacy or spread malicious rumors about him and the royal family. Just earlier this year, there were reports claiming the Duke of Cambridge cheated on Middleton with their family friend, Rose Hanbury.

The rumors were reportedly not true at all, but the palace and the Duke and Duchess' marriage were affected. And because of that, Prince William reportedly took legal actions, and one magazine reportedly received a legal warning for reporting about the alleged affair, which is said to be "false and highly damaging."
