The K-Pop band BLACKPINK has begun their first tour in the United Kingdom.
This all-girl band has been recognized as the first ever female K-Pop group to perform in one of the biggest and most popular music festivals, Coachella. Shortly after their performance, they are now currently on their next big milestone: their UK tour. The band has appealed to a lot of fans in America and has had some exposure there, but this is the first time in their flourishing career that they will be touring in the UK.
The band has become one of the top K-Pop super bands and have gained such a following ever since their comeback earlier this year. Their YouTube channel has reached about 6 billion viewers and even more subscribers.
The four women who make up this band are possibly four of the most talented, well-rounded, and amazing performers who are actively working in the industry today and deserve a huge amount of respect for their breathtaking synchronized singing and dancing performances.
In one of their first performances in London, the SSE Arena was filled to the hilt with ecstatic fans and enthusiasts. The lobby was in a flurry of activity as parents, boyfriends, and husbands dropped off their loved ones and waited for them as they enjoyed a full two hours of BLACKPINK's exhibition.
Spilling out from the doors of the arena were a thousand or so voices all in sync, belting out word for word every Korean lyric in the song as well as a minority of English words in the tracks. That is saying a lot, BLACKPINK being in an area of non-Korean speakers. It goes to show the group has this much influence over their fans and get this much support, even adoration from their listeners and fans.
And the band knows full well the love from their fans, but speaks to them in such a humble manner. They thank the audience countless of times during the show, for providing them with the opportunity to share their music, their singing and dancing, including their display of extravagant costumes to match.
It is mind-blowing really how much talent this bunch possesses. And it is fully displayed in how all their musical numbers are sung live. Each song is also accompanied by fast-paced yet artistic choreography. Only a few true performers can multitask singing and dancing to upbeat songs that have very fast tempos.
One thing is for sure, BLACKPINK will definitely be 'in your area,' and the group is ready to storm the world with their talent.
