Miranda Lambert shows off a rare photo of her hubby Brendan McLoughlin holding their rescued pups, Smoke and Bandit.
The country music singer showed off her new hubby on Instagram in a string of photographs, one of which depicted him smiling widely and clutching two puppies. It seemed that McLoughlin is just as much of an animal lover as Lambert, and quite happy at that, too.
The 35-year-old songwriter had taken to Instagram May 23 to post those pictures, but that particular one with the pups she captioned saying the two, "Smoke and Bandit," had shown up at her farm. She and her hubby, she said in her post, were bringing them to the "#CMAFest" so they could be "adopted." She further explained that this was because they had "no vacancy" at their "Mutt Motel."
This image of 28-year-old McLoughlin on social media was a rare one, considering the newlyweds have mostly kept their relationship below the radar. But, with this recent slide of images, it was easy to see that the couple's shared love and interest in animals is one factor in their relationship that binds them.
Among the pictures, the animal activist was also seen with one of the pups. She was smooching the newly found pet as she sat on a bench, taken with a view of her farm in the background. The Grammy Award winner had all her attention to the puppy she was cradling.
Lambert had made it a point to mention in her post to have people look up her foundation, MuttNation, and register to help her save even more of the adorable animals.
The news of the couple's marriage around Valentine's Day had caught Lambert's fans by surprise. This was because she had not even been reported as seeing anybody at the time. But when she publicly declared her whirlwind marriage, she called McLoughlin "#TheOne."
When she had shared the news, she admitted to finding the "love of my life" and that she had gotten "hitched." She also went on to say in her announcement that her "heart is full." She expressed her gratitude to McLoughlin for "loving" her.
The "Little Red Wagon" singer has not kept her love for creatures secret. In fact, she initiated the "#MuttNationMarch" which her foundation is supporting this June 6 at Nashville, Tennessee, in order to get more people to help in rescuing and saving dogs.
But it is not just dogs that she loves. In her farm, Lambert houses several horses as well as mini horses, dogs of course, and cats. The "Tin Man" performer and her husband make it a point to spend their time between her Tennessee farm and New York City, where the latter is an officer with the New York Police Department.
