Recently, Taylor Swift publicly spoke of her political stands and interests and ultimately broke her silence on politics. This happened in October of last year when the ME! artist openly endorsed two Democratic candidates who were running for the senatorial midterm elections.

While her interest in politics has become very apparent during that time, the focus of the fandom switched toward her upcoming album. It is only fitting though, as Taylor Swift already revealed that her seventh album would be arriving soon. And without a doubt, everyone jumped in with her along with all of the Easter eggs that she laid out, especially when ME! finally dropped.

After giving out a series of hints and clues about her new music and album, Taylor Swift, once again, made her advocacies well-known to the public. And just a few hours ago, the pop artist published an open letter that she wrote and sent to her state senator regarding the Equality Act.

This is just in time for the Pride Month as it has begun on Saturday. And as you may know, the well-known Equality Act is advocacy to prevent discrimination against the LGBTQ community. Although the legislation has garnered a great amount of support, many people, especially the Republicans, spoke against it.

In a lengthy post that she uploaded moments ago, the Look What You Made Me Do singer shared what she had written to the letter. And as it appears, it looks like that Taylor Swift is urging her state senator, Lamar Alexander, who is a Republican, to support the said act.

She started the post by saying that she, along with the whole community, has a lot to celebrate, which refers to the movements and improvements made toward the LGBTQ community. But even so, she also pointed out that it is still going to be a very long way to achieve the ultimate equal treatment for all people today.

Accordingly, Taylor Swift urges the Tenessee senator to support the Pro-LGBTQ Equality Act. She also mentioned how the act would significantly affect the state's economy in all aspects. But all in all, she called out all those who are in positions to think things through before coming up with a decision about the passed act.

Now, this puts TS7 and its updates on hold. And it seemingly appears that Taylor is still not giving any confirmation about the details of the upcoming album. Nevertheless, this pursuance of hers, despite postponing the Easter egg hunt for her seventh album, has become a very powerful tool to collect the attention and understanding of the mass fully.
