Prince Harry was present on the first day of U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to London. But the Duke of Sussex was reportedly conspicuously keeping a distance from the president and chose to chat with the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump.
According to Daily Mail, Prince Harry ducked behind the group during the Trumps' tour of the Royal Collection in the gallery room of the Buckingham Palace. He was also seen with talking with Ivanka and did not allegedly approach the president.
Royal correspondent Emily Andrews also confirmed via Twitter that Prince Harry "hung back" and walked with Ivanka during the tour. This happened after the American First Family had a luncheon with the British royals.
His wife, Meghan Markle, will not be joining the activities to come face to face with the U.S. President. The Duchess of Sussex is still on maternity leave after giving birth to Archie Harrison last May 6.
Prior to his U.K. visit, The Sun asked Trump if he knew that Duchess Meghan called him a misogynistic and divisive person during the 2016 election campaign. The president remarked he wasn't aware that "she was nasty," but the following day, Trump posted a tweet to say that he never said those words.
However, Trump did have a few kinder words for the duchess. He said that she was making excellent strides as the newest member of the royal family.
But even as Duchess Meghan has been off the public eye for the time being, the media believes she has a hand in the social media posts on House Sussex on Instagram. On June 2, the royal couple, through the duchess, shared a tribute to the LGBTQ community for PRIDE month.
"This month we pay tribute to the accounts supporting the LGBTQ+ community - those young and old, their families and friends, accounts that reflect on the past and are hopeful for a deservedly more inclusive future," the Sussex Royal account stated on social media.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex's best friend said that Prince Harry has been such an amazing and loving dad to Archie Harrison. Nacho Figueras told People that the duke is very happy to spend time with his newborn.
Figueras, a professional polo player, also see that Archie might be playing polo when the right time comes. The boy's father, grandfather, and great-grandfather played the game so Archie will likely be involved in the sport when he's grown up.
