Former LABOUM member Yulhee is receiving backlash after her interview with but Magazine where she triggered fans with information about her relationship with her husband, FT Island's Minhwan.
According to a report by All Kpop, Yulhee is now the subject of netizens' censure after she declared in her interview that she had no regrets about leaving the idol life in pursuit of her love life. Fans deemed her comments selfish and disrespectful to other members of LABOUM who exerted a lot of effort to bring success to the group.
Netizens further expressed their disappointment at Yulhee for her lack of remorse after causing LABOUM a lot of trouble to deal with her departure and controversies. One commenter said that it was very selfish for Yulhee to be making those statements when she lacked consideration to inform her members personally that she was leaving the group. The netizen said that the members had to find out that Yulhee was leaving them through a news article.
LABOUM fans also were irked at Yulhee for showing off how happy she was despite the fact that she acted irresponsibly as a member of the K-pop girl group. Some said that the fact that she never apologized to her members and her inconsiderate actions were quite distasteful. They also criticized Yulhee for declaring that she was leaving the entertainment scene for good but still appearing in the reality series with her young family.
During the interview, Yulhee, who is now appearing in Mr. House Husband Season 2 with FT Island's Minhwan and their son Jjangjie, bared that she is now in a stage where she is ready to be pregnant again. With their firstborn being a boy, Yulhee said that she wants their second child to be a daughter.
Yulhee shared that at the time she was still an idol with LABOUM, she was the first to fall in love with FT Island's Minhwan. She recounted the early days of their dating when he wore sweats to their first date, and she still thought he was the coolest.
Yulhee also revealed that when she first told Minhwan that she was pregnant with Jjangjie, the FT Island drummer didn't hesitate to take responsibility. She said that she wants their child to take after his father in every aspect, from looks to values, personalities, and talents.
The interview revealed that Yulhee was just as in love with her husband now as she was when they first started their relationship. "[Minhwan] is a pro and push-and-pull. Normally, he appears uninterested and quiet, but deep inside he's the most caring person. When I'm with oppa, my heart still beats fast, and I only want to show him my pretty sides," the former LABOUM member said.
