After his wife, former LABOUM member Yulhee came under fire for her interview with BNT magazine, it is now FT Island's Choi Minhwan who is being criticized for allegedly endangering his baby while throwing the ceremonial pitch for the game between the Hanhwa Eagles and the LG Twins that happened at Daejeon Hanbat Baseball Stadium.
It was reported that Choi Minhwan was invited to throw the ceremonial pitch in the game, but when it came time to do so, the FT Island drummer came out on the field with his baby son Jjangjie on a baby carrier. Minhwan made the pitch with his son on the carrier.
After the video was uploaded by the Hanhwa Eagles, Choi Minhwan immediately came under fire for being careless about his baby's health. Many netizens were worried that Jajangie might have hurt his neck while his father was making the pitch.
In response, FT Island's Choi Minhwan took to social media to apologize to his fans for not being mindful of his actions. In his post, Choi MInhwan explained that he became overly excited when he was given the honor of throwing the first pitch that he wanted it to be something that he and his son can share.
Choi Minhwan apologized to fans for making them worry about baby Jjangjie's health and assured them that he practiced plenty of practice before making the pitch.
"As a father who loves his baby more than anyone else in the world, I will do my best to make sure that my child grows up safe and healthy. I apologize once again for causing problems," the FT Island drummer concluded.
Meanwhile, Choi MInhwan's wife Yulhee, a former Kpop idol herself, is no stranger to controversy. It can be recalled that during a recent interview with BNT magazine, the former LABOUM member was bashed by irate netizens for her insensitive comments about her life as a Kpop star, reported All Kpop.
Yulhee, who stars in Mr. House Husband with her husband and son, recently shared her happiness at leaving the life of an idol and said that she has no regrets in leaving the entertainment industry.
To this, fans criticized Yulhee for her lack of apology to other members of LABOUM for her sudden decision to leave the group and for claiming to like life away from the limelight when, she is in fact, still part of it with her participation in the reality show.
