BLACKPINK remains the top girl group in Korea based on the Korean Business Research Institute brand reputation rankings for June. This means that Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rose have maintained their solid position as the leading Kpop girl group not just overseas but on home turf as well.

According to a report by Soompi, BLACKPINK maintained its position on the #1 spot in the brand reputation ranking for girl groups for the sixth month in a row. The survey, conducted every month by the Korean Business Research Institute, is an analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various girl groups.

BLACKPINK's recent position was determined via a study of big data gathered from May 7 to June 8. Among the top phrases associated with the four-member girl group was Kill This Love, concert, United States, pretty and cute. Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Jennie scored a 9,305,014 index for June, followed by JYP Entertainment's TWICE, who scored 7,114,631.

After BLACKPINK and TWICE, Oh My Girl placed third with a 6,982,434 for June. Rounding up the top 30 positions are Red Velvet, IZ*ONE, Lovelyz, Weki Meki, MAMAMOO, Girls' Generation, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), GWSN, fromis_9, GFRIEND, Cherry Bullet, Apink, EXID, AOA, MOMOLAND, Ladies' Code, T-ara, APRIL, LOONA, ITZY, FIESTAR, After School, Girl's Day, CLC, (G)I-DLE, DreamCatcher and ICIA.

Meanwhile, like Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose continue with BLACKPINK's Your Area World Tour with concerts in Macao, Australia, and Bangkok, the controversy involving the Shopee X BLACKPINK fan meet in the Philippines has not yet died down. More fans came forward to complain about the retail giant's last minute adjustment of their promo mechanics depriving BLINKs the opportunity to see the BLACKPINK members during the fan meet.

However, as penalties are mulled by the local Department of Trade and Industry on the company for lapses it committed during the event, netizens are expressing worry as it was reported by several outlets that Jennie had a panic attack during the BLACKPINK fan meet in Manila.

According to a report, fans have sent warm wishes to Jennie after the incident after one BLINK shared a video of the BLACKPINK member seemed to be having a panic attack during the thirty-minute event. Fans chalked it down to exhaustion amid the YG artists' tight schedule. Jennie later took to Instagram to assure fans that she was okay and sent her love to them as well.
