Paramount Network graced the recent ATX Television Festival to reveal the first episode of Yellowstone Season 2. As the show is about to hit the small screens in more than a week, the network teases what is about to come to the lives of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and the rest of the family's members.

"He was living like there are no consequences to his actions and now he has to deal with the choices he's making," co-executive producer Michael Friedman said about John's return, via Deadline. "There's a reckoning for him not only with his enemies but with his family."

A new character is about to come to Yellowstone Season 2, and he will be a big threat for everyone. Malcolm Beck (Neal McDonough) will be a part of the Montana world, and Friedman teased he would be a powerful enemy for some of the characters.

In Yellowstone Season 2, fans will continue to see the Duttons fight their ranch amidst the dangers that threaten to put their empire down. Friedman added the scripts for the new season are created by the previous season's performances that let the screenwriter Taylor Sheridan to take the characters to their new directions.

Friedman continued to say the things they learned when they did Season 1 thought them a lot of things. So when they started Yellowstone Season 2, they were able to work efficiently.

Meanwhile, ahead of Yellowstone Season 2's release, it looks like the show will receive an early renewal. In an interview with Costner on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the 51-year-old host told the veteran actor his show is already "picked up."

Costner neither denied nor supported Kimmel's claim that gave birth to the rumors that Yellowstone Season 3 would be in the works. If the show would not be renewed, the 64-year-old star should have been corrected the television personality. But as he stayed mum, fans hope that the comedian's revelation is true.

According to Daily Caller, with the show as big as Yellowstone, Paramount Network may like to keep its move a secret about its renewal. But with the good ratings, it is no surprise if the series will continue with Season 3.

There are reports Yellowstone Season 2 will be crazier than usual, so fans will surely hope to see more of the Dutton family and problems they have to face and solve in Season 3. Once again, viewers are about to see John, Kayce (Luke Grimes), Beth (Kelly Reilly), and Jamie (Wes Bentley) on the small screen on Wednesday, June 19, on Paramount Network.
