One of the most exciting things about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the return of Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian. After all, it has been decades since the character helped Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa in Return of the Jedi. However, it looks like Lando isn't the only resident of Cloud City who will make an appearance in Star Wars Episode 9. An interesting Easter egg may have confirmed that Lobot could show up in the highly anticipated sequel.

It has already been confirmed that Billy Dee Williams is returning in The Rise of Skywalker and Lando Calrissian could play a small but important role in the movie. For now, it is unclear just how Lando will be brought back into the Star Wars Universe but some believe that he could be called in to help the Resistance. Although it seems unlikely that Lando would want anything to do with the fight against the First Order, he certainly seems eager to be reunited with the Millennium Falcon. It is possible that Lando will be convinced to cooperate in exchange of his beloved ship.

A reunion with the Millennium Falcon isn't the only major thing lined up for Lando Calrissian in Star Wars Episode 9. The Vanity Fair promo image featuring Lando with Poe Dameron and Chewbacca revealed that he has been staying in contact with Cloud City all these years. People have noticed that Lando is wearing what appears to be the same wrist-com he was wearing in The Empire Strikes Back. It's a small but interesting Easter Egg that could confirm the return of Lobot in The Rise os Skywalker.

In the original trilogy, Lobot was Lando Calrissian's aide and computer liason officer for Cloud City. Although he is human, Lobot has a "brain-enhancing device" installed directly on his head. The device allows him to directly access the city's central computer. The wrist-com that Lando wears both in The Empire Strikes Back and the Rise of Skywalker photo is the one device that allows Lando to communicate with Lobot.

So does this mean that Lobot will return in Star Wars Episode 9? It's certainly a possibility considering that Lando Calrissian relies greatly on his aide. However, some believe that Lobot might not make an appearance and that Lando will only use the wrist-com to contact him. On the other hand, The Rise of Skywalker could feature a return to Cloud City and Lobot could be one of the characters who will welcome the visitors to the city.

For now, it is unclear if Lobot will actually appear in Star Wars Episode 9 so it is best to take this with a grain of salt. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will premiere on December 20.
