Ariana Grande's Planned Parenthood donation comes at a 'critical time' when legal abortion ban is being pushed by anti-women's health politicians.

The singer is currently in the middle of her Sweetener world tour, which is the fourth worldwide tour she has had. And according to recent reports, the singer stopped by Atlanta for one of her shows.

The 25-year-old singer and performer sparked a controversy which caused a number of both fans and haters of the star to comment on The Shade Room's Instagram post about her. Apparently, the star is taking a big sum of her proceeds from the Atlanta show and donating it all to Planned Parenthood, which is a non-profit organization that aims to provide quality reproductive health care services in the United States.

According to a source, the organization will be receiving a total of about $300,000 from the singer's show proceeds.

The reigning president of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Dr. Leana Wen, spoke words of praise to commend and thank the singer for her gesture. She told reporters that the singer's generous donation had come at a critical time, referring to how anti-women's health politicians were banning any means and access to safe and legal abortions.

She went on to say that, thanks to persons like the star, who uses her big influence for good causes and proactively supports them, organizations like this one can still maintain hope and fight back against people in the courtrooms, in the Congress, and even on the streets. Through inspirational people like Grande, they can continue to fight against this oppression, especially on the streets, and go on to support women who are criminalized for their reproductive health care choices.

In the light of the current political tension in the state of Georgia due to the approval of the 'Heartbeat Bill,' the singer's big donation to Planned Parenthood has sparked a big controversy, the news of which has grabbed the attention of netizens worldwide.

A lot of celebrities and household names like Grande have spoken up about their stand against the outrageous bill. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Alyssa Milano, Zoe Kravitz, and Mark Ruffalo have even threatened to boycott Georgia due to the said bill.

Inclusive in the bill is the banning of any acts of abortion after there is a fetal heartbeat detected, which is more or less just three weeks after a missed period. The bill will also allow the state to charge women with miscarriages of second-degree murder.

Although in the past the singer has been relatively neutral and mum about issues like this one, a majority of fans and co-celebrities of hers have commended her for donating the proceeds of her sold-out tour to an organization battling a timely crisis.
