Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were considered as two of the most bankable stars in Hollywood after the undeniable success of the Fifty Shades movie franchise. Jamie and Dakota portrayed the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, and caught the hearts of many due to their exemplary performances in the threequel. Now that the film series is over, avid followers of the two are wondering about their whereabouts.

The husband of Amelia Warner revealed to The Times that he suffered from depression following the death of his mom, Lorna, when he was 16.  Jamie stated that his mother died due to pancreatic cancer. The former onscreen leading man of Dakota added that four of her closest pals died due to a tragic car accident not long after.

"I could easily have gone off the rails if it were not for my family. I was a mess, especially after reading the letter that she had left for us kids," Jamie Dornan divulged to the publication. "Not long after, four of my friends tragically died in a car accident. I was really angry and became very depressed, although I didn't realize it at the time," Dakota Johnson's Fifty Shades co-star went on.

Jamie even recounted how he almost broke down after the wife of his best friend wore the same scent that had been a favorite of his mother. Dakota's ex-leading man revealed he had to excuse himself to compose himself at the time. Though he admitted that he is still mourning inside, the Fifty Shades Darker actor stated that acceptance and remembering the good memories could help in the recovery process.

Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson, for her part, has, reportedly, broken up with Chris Martin. The Sun first broke the news claiming that Jamie Dornan's on-screen ladylove and the Coldplay frontman have decided to end their romance after 18 months of dating. No specific reason behind the supposed split has been revealed up to this writing.

However, it was claimed that even the friends of Chris and Dakota were stunned after learning about the split reports since they were, allegedly, talking about a possible engagement very soon.  "There was talk of engagement but now he says they have gone their separate ways, which has come as a real surprise to everyone," a source close to the situation, reportedly, told the outlet about the yet-to-be-confirmed breakup of Jamie Dornan's former co-star and the Yellow hitmaker.

While these rumors could be true, it should be noted that Dakota and Chris Martin have yet to confirm the split speculations. Hence, avid followers of the couple should take everything with a grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
