Fans are about to see Jane Doe (Jamie Alexander) in her last and final outing in Blindspot Season 5. The show is about to come to an end, so it is expected to reveal who will survive after the explosive previous season finale and who will remain.

Weller (Sullivan Stapleton), Reade (Rob Brown), Zapata (Audrey Esparza), and Patterson's (Ashley Johnson) lives are hanging in the balance after a missile hit their cabin. Will someone makes it alive after that big explosion or the new season will open with death/s?

"It would be safe to assume that not everyone makes it out of that safe house alive," series creator Martin Gero told TVLine. It is hard to predict who will live and die after the whole structure that they are in gets destroyed, but there are predictions they will all survive.

It looks like Gero lets Madeline (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) win this time and let the FBI lose, which is a rare event in any police procedural drama. The screenwriter admitted they decided "to spend the whole season laying the groundwork for Madeline" to win because it would lead to a "very propulsive" Blindspot Season 5.

But will anyone survive? Gero said if everyone makes it out, there would be a great unity and common purpose among the group. From here, they will work together to fix their problem.

Talking about the ending, Gero revealed he knew Blindspot Season 5 would be about the team on the run. He also has an idea in mind on how it is going to end, but he cannot reveal it right away.

But, one thing is for sure: they will feature fan moments and proper goodbyes from the main characters to the supporting ones. "[Season 5] is a little more compact, so the storytelling is even more dynamic, and we know where we're going. We know we're going toward a very specific end now," he said.

According to CinemaBlend, Blindspot Season 5 is about to feature a two-month time jump. However, there will be some flashbacks to give fans a glimpse of what happened after the explosion.

It will be the last time fans are about to see their favorite characters. So, it is now up for the people behind the show how to honor not just the series but its stars as well.

Gero revealed their primary concern is not to ruin their final season. So, they come up with a very exciting idea, especially for the grand finale.

He even teased fans would feel a celebratory vibe throughout Blindspot Season 5. The show's final outing is going to be out during the 2019-2020 midseason on NBC.
