Brad Pitt was said to have claimed that his life was "dull" and a "sham" during his marriage with Jennifer Aniston.
An interview of Brad Pitt from 2011 has resurfaced in online news channels, and people are talking about what the Troy actor had to say about his life then while he was still married to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Reports have stated that the actor had said he had become "dull" while he was in his marriage with the Friends alum. He was also quoted to have said that he was not at all living the interesting life, although it was his goal whenever he got involved in movies, to somehow get a hold of that film which would depict exactly that kind of "interesting" life.
The Inglourious Bastards starrer had apparently even gone as far as to call his then-marriage with Aniston a "sham," wanting more from it than what his former wife could give him. He pointed out that his feelings regarding that time were that his marriage played some part in what he had been going through. He shared he had been "trying to pretend" that the relationship had been "something ... it wasn't."
The multi-awarded actor had also claimed then that because he did not live that "interesting" life during his marriage with his first wife, he had sought for comfort in the arms of Angelina Jolie, who he had been working with on the film Mr. &Mrs. Smith.
At that time of this interview, Pitt was already into his second marriage, to 44-year-old actress, Angelina Jolie. He had shared with Parade's Dotson Rader his feelings on the topic of children.
When asked about it, his response had sounded like a rebuke to Aniston, as he said that it was the "greatest" as well as the "smartest" thing he had done when he had Jolie as the mother of his children, because, according to him, the Maleficent star was a "great" mother.
This comment had earned him the ire of Aniston's fans that he had to come out and give an explanation for this remark.
And he did come out to say that it had caused him some grief that what he said had been taken in the wrong way. Pitt came out to expound that Aniston was such a "giving" as well as "loving and hilarious" person who he had remained good friends with, as it was a friendship that he placed a lot of "value" in.
He explained as well that he had not been trying to say his ex-wife "Jen" had been "dull." He said he had meant that he perceived himself as "becoming dull" which he said he would take responsibility for.
