Matt Lauer has reportedly decided to put his mansion in the Hamptons for sale in the estate market amidst finalizing his divorce with Annette Roque. The manor, which is more commonly known as Strongheart Mansion, was built way back in 1902.

It has around 12 bedrooms, a teahouse, an outdoor fireplace pavilion, two guest houses, and a water pond front. The whole estate amounts to a total of 12,000 square feet and 300 feet of water frontage.

Lauer is no longer earning a shocking $25 million per year after being fired from his co-host job at the "Today" show way back in 2017. The 61-year-old had been immediately removed from the company after a woman in their office had spoken up against his behavior as a sexual abuser in the workplace. Soon after her testimony, numerous other women also came forward and admitted that they too had been sexually harassed and abused by Lauer over the years.

But even after losing his nine-to-five job which was what sustained him and his family, Lauer can still earn himself quite a fortune when the manor he put on the estate market will be sold for his astounding asking price: $44 million dollars.

Some potential buyers have voiced out how the asking price is a big inflation compared with the price they had initially bought the manor for. Lauer and Roque had purchased the estate from renowned actor Richard Gere, at the price of $ 36 million.

Lauer is now tending to some preparations and slight renovations to sell the manor, just after the news of his and his now ex-wife's divorce being finalized in court.

Sources have revealed the numerous drone cameras have been patrolling the estate and taking some video and photograph coverage of the vast estate; ground-based photographers with impressive lenses are also trying to photograph the mansion in order to list the property.

The once blissful couple who got married way back in 1998 started working on and filing their divorce just weeks after Lauer lost his job at the "Today" show due to a sexual harassment scandal in November 2017. The once well-known and loved highest-paid star was immediately removed from the company after being accused of sexual harassment by multiple female colleagues.

The board of directors had seen it as a failure on Lauer's part to adhere to the standard of the company. His actions were also seen as being harmful to other people in a workplace that the company had strived so hard to create as a peaceful and healthy environment.

After such a disgrace, the Strongheart Manor had been his safe harbor for a time where he secluded himself. He immersed himself in golf and other low-key activities on the manor's grounds. But now it seems, he is ready to let go of the security and sentimentality he has felt in his $44 million refuge-home.
