The works for Penny Dreadful: City of Angels continues as six new stars are announced to join the follow-up show. There will be new series regulars and recurring roles that fans are about to meet when John Logan's story hit the small screens.

Deadline reported Mad Men star Michel Gladis would join Penny Dreadful: City of Angels as a series regular, along with Daniel Zovatto and Natalie Dormer. He will play the role of Councilman Charlton Townsend, an ambitious head of the L.A. City Council's Transportation Committee. Townsend is a man who has killer instincts and cruel political tricks.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood's Lorenza Izzo will also join the series as Santa Muerte, Magda's (Dormer) sister and the Angel of Holy Death. CSI Miami's Adam Rodriguez will join Izzo as Raul Vega, a union leader and advocate who belongs to the Vega family.

Avengers: Age of Ultron's Thomas Kretschmann will also have a recurring role in Penny Dreadful: City of Angels as Richard Goss. He is an aristocrat, but a mysterious German architect who has great plans for the future of Los Angeles. However, he is a manipulative master builder who will use his connections on City Hall.

Shadowhunters' Dominic Sherwood has tapped his new role in the Penny Dreadful follow-up. He will be Goss' bodyguard and chauffer Kurt. However, there is more about his past that will surely shock viewers.

Lastly, Star Trek: Discovery's Ethan Peck joins Penny Dreadful: City of Angels as Herman Ackermann. This charismatic guy is the second-in-command at the German-American Bund. He is aggressive when it comes to politics and someone who likes heated rhetoric. Ackermann also brings tension within the group due to his magnetism that mainly affects the Bund leader, Peter Craft (Rory Kinnear).

Other stars that will join the series are Kerry Bishé, Adriana Barraza, Jessica Garza, Johnathan Nieves, and Nathan Lane. Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner, and Lin Shaye will also have recurring roles.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will tell the story of the grisly murder that happened in Los Angeles in 1938, per Variety. Detective Tiago Vega (Zovatto) gets involved in the story that reflects the place's history that spans from its first freeways to Mexican-American folklore traditions to the dangers of the Third Reich's actions and the rise of radio evangelism.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will reportedly begin its production later this year. Showtime has yet to reveal when the spinoff series will be officially out.
