Read at your own risk: This article contains spoilers for Grey's Anatomy Season 15.

It's been weeks already ever since season 15 wrapped things up. But while the latest installment has finished its course, the finale left a lot of doors opened. It even hinted new paths and courses that are just suitable for the arrival of the new season. So, it is quite likely that the new season will pick up where it last left off.

As any fan would recall, Meredith has been fired due to insurance fraud. And in the course of saving her, Bailey also fired the other two best surgeons in Grey Sloan. This event surprised the fandom as this kind of twist is a never-been-seen type of plot. Hence, it added more hype and excitement for the upcoming Grey's Anatomy Season 16.

Many fans and viewers are certain that the three surgeons will be back or reinstated once the new season arrives. But of course, it would take time before this could happen. Accordingly, it is largely expected that the first few episodes of the upcoming installment will focus on how these surgeons will work things around for good.

As for Teddy and Owen, Grey's Anatomy Season 16 will also likely put its focus on the couple after welcoming the newest addition to their family, their baby daughter. Alongside the family, Jackson and Jo's surprising storylines will also possibly make a huge entrance for the new season.

Although these speculations are just mere theories and notions created by the fandom, these are very plausible and viable plots for season 16. Even so, the best way to be sure is to wait for its arrival.

There is no confirmation yet as to when it will arrive this year. But following the patterns of the previous seasons' premiere periods, there is a huge chance that Grey's Anatomy Season 16 will premiere on September 26. And according to Pop Sugar, not unless ABC takes a new schedule for the series, the given date is the possible premiere period for the upcoming season.

In terms of the cast members, almost all of the main members of the group will reprise their roles for the sixteenth season. However, there will be no major additions to the series' set of characters. So, it is unlikely for the fans to see new faces when it premieres soon. Even so, Good Housekeeping revealed recently that Tom Koracick, Levi Schmitt, and Chris Carmack would join Grey's Anatomy Season 16 as new series regulars.

Furthermore, there are revelations lately that the new season will treat its fans and viewers by offering various crossovers with ABC's Station 19, which is a direct spin-off to Shondaland's Grey's Anatomy.
