Read at your own risk: This article contains major spoilers for The Blacklist.

The Blacklist is one of the most popular scripted series in recent times. With its promising 119 percent increase in viewership ratings and numbers, there is no doubt as to why NBC commissioned a new season for the show as per Deadline.

The most recent installment of the show just concluded a few weeks ago. And based on the recent events, it looks like the fans are left with several unanswered questions and major cliffhangers.

Where is Red right now? What are Katarina’s plans when she abducted him? Is he still alive? What does this mean to Liz and the rest of the Task Force?

These are some of the burning questions that most fans are wondering after watching the sixth season finale of The Blacklist. But of course, these will surely be answered when the new season arrives on NBC.

It has been announced recently that the show will arrive on October 4. Also, it is very likely that the installment will house a total of 22 episodes just like what the show did in its six seasons. So, unless otherwise stated, these are the most plausible cases for The Blacklist Season 7.

In terms of its cast, there is a huge on-going commotion about the new season’s cast members. As it happens, there are a few main characters who will no longer play a part in season 7. And the most apparent one is Samar, who is played by Mozhan Marnò from the second season up until the latest.

Unfortunately, The Blacklist Season 6 lost Samar in a critical disease as per Cinema Blend. But while she did not die in the course, her role was immediately written off due to her imminent exit.

There is no revealed information as to why she chose to exit the show. And the production is at a loss upon learning her final decisions. Even so, they are looking at a possible replacement for the character’s position in the task force. There are theories that Amar would take her place and start to be an on-field agent in the new season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the series creator, Jon Bokenkamp, hinted that the production is considering Amar’s position in the Task Force. Hence, it is possible that he might now become a field agent. And to replace his position, a new face might arrive in the process.

As for the roles of Reddington, Liz, Ressler, Cooper, and Dembe, the actors who play their roles will all be back for The Blacklist Season 7.
