In less than three weeks, USA Network’s longest-running legal drama series, Suits, is about to premiere its ninth and final season. And just before its actual release, the network has released a new official trailer that brings the fans back to where it all started.
The official trailer for the ninth season titled, Unforgettable, shows a series of clips and scenes of the most unforgettable events that happened in the course of the show.
Of course, it all started with Harvey Spector’s decision of hiring Mike Ross as an associate, who happens to be an unlicensed lawyer. The trailer also shows it very own Rachel Zane, who was played by the now Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
According to Metro UK, the minute-long clip “heavily” featured Meghan Markle, especially the moment when she learned about Mike Ross’ real status in the legal community. The scene where she slapped Mike upon the discovery, the fans seems to be taken down the memory lane in terms of their love story.
The scenes that largely featured the Duchess became a seeming tribute for her. And while the possibility of her coming back for the show is likely hinted, it is already revealed recently that this will not happen due to her “busy” schedule. Even so, her on-screen husband, Patrick J. Adams, who plays the role of Mike Ross, is now confirmed to return on the last run of Suits as per USA Network.
Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle left the show after the seventh season. And while their exits are pretty much imminent due to the recent events in their lives, especially on Meghan’s part after becoming the Duchess of Sussex, their absence is dramatically felt on the show’s eighth season run. Nevertheless, Suits was able to justify their exits and remained in an interesting and thrilling course.
As for the ninth and final season, the plot will continue where it last left off. And this is when Robert Zane took the fall to save Harvey. With his unexpected early retirement, the new season will surely follow how the firm, Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, will pick up from the huge change.
Aside from this premise, the official synopsis also reveals that Harvey now realizes Donna’s position in his life and how he wants it to stay that way. Accordingly, it is very much likely that their love story will be in full bloom before the show finally concludes.
Suits Season 9 is set to premiere on July 17.
