There were so many changes done in T.O.P’s enlistment due to some circumstances, but one thing is for sure right now — he is coming back soon! While it was previously reported that the BIGBANG star’s mandatory military service was shortened, a new update revealed that he would be back even sooner than expected.

According to the Yongsan Crafts Office, the 31-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor will be discharged two days before his military discharge date. So instead of July 8, he will be released from his obligation on July 6.

“The Yongsan Crafts Office, where T.O.P is currently serving as a public service worker, operates as normal on Saturday,” a Yongsan source said. “On Monday (July 8), it is a day where the museum is not open. Therefore, once T.O.P finishes his shift on Saturday, July 6, at 6 pm, he will be discharged.

T.O.P enlisted back on February 9, 2017, and was set to be discharged on November 8, 2018. However, due to his marijuana scandal, his service was halted during the trial and investigations. He pleaded guilty and received two years of probation and ten months prison term if he violates his probation restrictions.

After his case was reviewed by police, T.O.P was allowed to resume his compulsory duty as a public service officer at the Yongsan Arts and Crafts Center on January 26, 2018. He was expected to be discharged in August 2019.

But the new reduction regulations shortened The BIGBANG star’s enlistment date and was set to be released from his duties on July 8. "Choi Seung Hyun (T.O.P's real name) will be discharged from his mandatory service on July 8,” the rep stated. “Due to the government's mandatory service law which went into effect last year for public service workers as well, his mandatory service date has been shortened by approximately 27 days."

Now, the latest update revealed that T.O.P would be back on July 6. Although the Yongsan District understood that fans would be eager to welcome the BIGBANG star back and to see him complete his service, they noted that “T.O.P will not hold other event ceremonies to avoid troubles around the craft hall. But to express gratitude to the fans who have been waiting for a long time, they will give simple greetings to fans after completing work. It is good news for fans who are looking forward to the discharge of T.O.P.”
