Meghan Markle might make yet another public appearance this July as she slowly eases off from her maternity leave. Royal watchers believe that the Duchess of Sussex will be at Wimbledon with her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
If Meghan and Kate would appear together at the Wimbledon championship on July 14, then this could essentially end the feud rumors that have besieged the Royals in the last year. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, this would be a wonderful opportunity for both royal houses to confirm that there's no feud going on.
"Meghan is on maternity leave and won't be returning to work until October," Nicholl said, per The Sun. "But I have been told we will see her at a handful of things before then and there's a chance we might see her at Wimbledon, particularly if Serena is playing as they are such close friends."
The expert also noted that Meghan and Kate had a cordial time together at their last public appearance with the royal family. During the Trooping the Colour for the Queen's birthday in June, Meghan and Kate sat in the same carriage and were comfortable with each other's company.
"I think we need to see more of that if this ongoing narrative about a fall out is to be knocked on the head," the royal expert opined.
Meghan and Kate aren't particularly best friends or close sisters-in-law. But there's no untoward reason over this except that they come from different backgrounds.
Meghan was raised in a biracial family in California between divorced parents. While she went to a private school, her upbringing is quite different from Kate, who grew up in a wealthy family in England.
Kate's parents are successful retail store owners who could afford to send their kids to good schools. The Middletons are commoners, but they belong to the upper class.
Meghan and Kate's personality are also different. Because she was an actress before she became a duchess, Meghan is more comfortable with the cameras all around her. Kate, on the other hand, is said to be an introvert.
In 2018, reports stated that Meghan made Kate cry during the fitting of the bridesmaids' dresses for the former's wedding to Prince Harry, per Vanity Fair. From there, several stories have emerged about the feud, but the palace has never addressed if the speculations are true.
