HBO may be doing its best to keep the Game of Thrones Prequel's production in secrecy, but it can't stop fans from snooping. Set photos are now emerging online, hinting the show's setting and environment.
With the working title Bloodmoon, the set seems to be heavily-built with caves. There is a cave built on the backlot of Titanic Studios in Belfast.
There is also a cave built inside the Paint Hall inside the studios, aside from the one on the backlot. Also, there is a production set at the Marble Arch Caves in Northern Ireland, which production signs carry the symbol of a mammoth.

Add to that some props that look like wooden fencing; the Game of Thrones Prequel may bear a Stone Age look. However, according to Winter is Coming, there will sure be civilization. A throne made of large draft wood, as big as the original Iron Throne, is reportedly created.
Some photos of the show's cast members arriving on set are also seen online. There is a snap of Naomi Watts arriving at the Grand Central Hotel in Belfast. Shiela Atim is also spotted holding his luggage.
Business Times reported the Game of Thrones Prequel would also be set inside the Grotta del Turco in Italy. The city mayor Cosmo Mitrano even confirmed the news and said the town is ready for Bloodmoon.
HBO reportedly asked for authorization to start filming inside the Turk's Cave. It is located in the deepest part of the wound Montagna Spaccata or Split Mountain in English. The place is also known as the Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea due to its rocky landscape overlooking the waters.
However, the filming is still said to be in talks as there is a limit when visiting the Sanctuary of the Split Mountain. Visitors can only reach up to its 60th step after the small collapses that happened in 2016. Hence, the park is taking great measure to protect its guests and the place itself.
Aside from the cave-like setting, an image of a lion statue, which is believed to be the Lannister's sigil, is seen inside the set. An eagle-eyed fan spotted the small figure when the snap is zoomed in.
Does it mean that the Lannisters ancestor will be around the Game of Thrones Prequel? Official details about the series remain scarce, as HBO only revealed its plotline which would be set during the Age of Heroes. So, fans may have to wait for further announcement and show's release, which may be in 2021.
