RM is a very attractive man; there’s no denying that. However, the BTS leader is not usually what you call the typical “handsome” in the K-pop world.
Koreans are very vocal about their aesthetic criteria, which is why there’s the position of “visual” in each Kpop group. The visual is the most handsome member of the group. For BTS, the official visual is Mr. Worldwide Handsome himself, Jin.
With seven members in the BigHit Entertainment group, many argued that there should be more visuals in BTS. Unfortunately, RM is not usually considered to be a candidate. V got the most vote.
While RM got all the features to be visual, he’s tall, fit, good looking, many thought that he doesn’t have that typical “look” to be one. Most of these visuals are pretty boys, and the 24-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer is a manly man.
When sites start a survey regarding the visual line ranking of BTS, RM is usually at the bottom of the pack. The usual winners are V, Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook.
However, a backstage video of RM surprised a lot of people, as many believed that he became even more attractive than he was already before. Despite maintaining his manly man look, he seemed to have that pretty boy look as well.
"This was taken during Soribada backstage,” the uploader of the clip said. “I never thought of anything about his visuals, but I was shocked when I saw that clip…. Seriously, he’s handsome. He’s a celebrity… His aura.” (Watch the clip here).
After the backstage video, it seems that the BTS visual line ranking is all tangled up. Fans are now praising RM for his incredible good looks.
“Gotta give it to his physical, I bet that he’s handsome in real life,” one fan wrote. “Honestly, I think he is handsome these days. But in the old videos he looked a bit strange and not as attractive,” another one commented. One netizen even shared that, “My mom saw Bangtan and the first thing she said was Namjoon (RM’s real name) is the most handsome.”
If the BTS visual line is a race, other members should be scared as their leader is taking a huge leap. Watch out, Worldwide, Handsome! It seems that RM is coming for your title.
