The Prince and his wife, Sarah Ferguson, ended their marriage through a divorce in 1996 after being married for 10 years. Rumors said that the couple never ended their relationship and they continued their close relationship.

Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal expert, said in an interview with Daily Star that the royal couple never left each other. He said that the Duke and Duchess of York have always been close and they always got on. The royal expert hoped that the two continues their good relations and he is convinced that the people will support their decision to remarry.

The statement of the royal expert hinted that the couple has stayed amicable towards each other because of their kids after they announced their divorce. It is, however, known to the public that the two ended their marriage and there was no news that they got back together.

Despite their good relations, their plan to remarry might never work because of the conflict of the Duchess to other members of the royal family. Prince Andrew still hates Ferguson. He hasn't forgiven her for shaming the royal family. They can't even get married even after the death of Prince Andrew. Remarrying after his death, means dishonoring the Prince. There is no guarantee that the Queen will remarry them.

Another problem that they might face is the ill feelings of Prince Charles towards her. Reports claimed that the Prince is not OK with her. According to reports, the Prince can't stand the Duchess of York in reality. It was also claimed that they don't get on personally and that there's so much baggage because the Prince felt that she sided with Diana over Camilla all those years.

Sarah and Princess Diana are known to be friends. They are even considered as royal best friends. But when she married Prince Andrew, the jealousy between them grew. The Duchess of York is known for her fun-loving character while Princess Diana is the serious type. Rumors said that Prince Charles, once, adored the Ferguson for her character and he wanted Princess Diana to act like her.

The Duchess of York excelled in almost every royal pastime and sports, making her the favorite of almost everyone. Things, however, changed after they announced their divorce. Prince Andrew mistreated Ferguson after the announcement. He publicly shamed the Princess, giving cruel comments about her. The Prince, once, told her that she is "idiotic."
