Its been an eventful weekend for BLACKPINK after they concluded their successful three-night concert in Bangkok but now, concerns are being raised by fans over the plagiarism of the group's DDU DU DDU DU MV by KFC China in their latest advertisement.
BLINKs in China have sounded the alert on the blatant similarities adopted by the KFC ad for their new product, Queen Mojito and called out the international franchise for plagiarizing the concept of the DDU DU DDU DU MV, All Kpop reported.
Netizens posted screenshots from the DDU DU DDU DU MV and compared it directly to the KFC advertisement as they pointed out that the only thing that was different from the two images were people. BLINKs said that KFC was tapping into BLACKPINK's popularity by appropriating the group's concept without paying for royalties.
"This is no longer a suspicion. From the style to the background in this commercial film look identical to DDU DU DDU DU. KFC has plagiarized," a Chinese netizen commented online.
Because of the similarities of the two videos, Twitter user TYeJiang even spliced the two clips together to point out the identical presentation.
