It's the 25th birthday of Malika (played by Zuri Adele) on Good Trouble season 2 episode 6. And while this is supposed to be a joyous and momentous time, problems might be brewing between Mariana (played by Cierra Ramirez) and Raj (played by Dhruv Uday Singh).
According to TV Guide, all Malika wants for her birthday celebration is for the Coterie crew to have fun. There will be music, performances and a lot of improvs like a talent show. However, there will also some startling revelations and surprises that could put some of the people over the edge.
That's perhaps what will happen between Mariana and Raj as they argue about their relationship in Good Trouble season 2 episode 6. As seen in the teaser for the next episode, someone will ask why the group has decided to live in a communal space.
Raj will learn that it was Mariana's idea to live at the Coterie because, at that time, she was hopelessly infatuated with Gael (played by Tommy Martinez). Because of this revelation, he will confront his girlfriend, and they will have a full-blown argument.
"If you can't believe that I want to be with you, nothing I can say will ever convince you," Mariana tells Raj in Good Trouble season 2 episode 6. She declares that she's tired of trying to prove to Raj why she's staying with him.
But could this relationship be heading for splitsville especially with what happened between Mariana and Evan (played TJ Linnard) in the previous episode?
Evan asked Mariana for a drink in Good Trouble season 2 episode 5 so that she could help improve his dating profile online. The people at work, however, are convinced that this relationship could become romantic even as Evan is not her type.
"I think she just really respects him," Ramirez said of this pairing in an interview with TV Line. "Not a lot of people understand Evan or get him, and I think that he was drawn to Mariana because she understood him, and she really appreciates him taking interest in her app and wanting to help her. "
The actress doesn't think that Mariana and Evan will go the romantic route. She said that it would be "a little messy if someone starts to get feelings."
