Some miners are going to be involved in a bloody accident in Poldark season 5 episode 3. Ross Poldark (played by Aidan Turner) will have to deal with this tragedy together with the rest of the townsfolk, especially when some of the victims are quite young.
According to Daily Express, Ned Despard (played by Vincent Regan) will attempt a bold move to save the miners. However, he might be risking his own life to do a heroic deed and might likely die in Poldark season 5 episode 3.
If so, this could be a fitting end for the character, albeit in an unfortunate circumstance, as he has wanted to redeem himself. Viewers will recall that Ned was recently released from prison and has been trying to make his life better. However, with his potential heroic death, Kitty (played by Kerri McLean) could end up struggling and fending for herself.
Poldark season 5 episode 3 will also show that the mental state of George Warleggen (played by Jack Farthing) has worsened following the death of his wife Elizabeth (played by Heida Reed). Doctors will attempt to plunge him in an ice water bath, which they believe might cure his hysteria.
Writer Debbie Horsfield has warned that George's scenes at the mental facility could be upsetting for Poldark season 5 viewers. The character will go through unpleasant experiences to lend authenticity as treatments in mental institutions during this period were quite brutal.
In Poldark season 5 episode 2, George has been having hallucinations of Elizabeth, who has long died at the end of last season. Viewers saw how this death had affected George as he has begun talking to the wall but behaving as if Elizabeth is alive, per The Sun.
Meanwhile, Ross has made a lot of enemies of late because he's trying to help Ned clear his name. Thus, in Poldark season 5 episode 2, Ross decides to leave for Cornwall with his family so that they will be out of harm's way.
Poldark season 5 will run for eight episodes and will air every Sunday night at BBC. The show will also be coming to PBS in the U.S. once the BBC run is finished. There is still no word if the show is getting a sixth season.
