Seungri shocked the K-pop world when he announced his retirement from the industry back in March. But his decision made a lot of sense as the former BIGBANG member was involved in a shocking controversy.

The 28-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, entrepreneur, DJ, and creative director believed that the best thing to do at the time was to quit the entertainment world to focus on his charges. Seungri is currently facing seven charges, which includes solicitation of prostitution and prostitution mediation, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes, occupational embezzlement of attorney’s fees, and more.

“At this point, I think it would be best if I retire from the entertainment industry,” Seungri wrote. “I decided on retiring from the entertainment industry as the issues that I caused a societal disturbance with are too major. Regarding the issues that are being investigated, I will be investigated diligently and reveal all the suspicions.”

The question now is, if Seungri will be able to settle everything, will he go back to the industry? Will he return to BIGBANG and YG Entertainment? Also, will G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung accept him?

It’s no secret that K-pop is such a cruel world, and idols usually find comfort in their group members. G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri have been together since pre-debut and worked as a group for over ten years, so they have formed a brotherhood.

With that said, they can accept Seungri back to the group if the former YG Entertainment artist decides to return. The older boys have always treated the former BIGBANG member as their baby brother, and turning their backs on him is probably really hard for them to do.

However, Seungri returning to BIGBANG is certainly far from happening at this moment. The troubled star still needs to clear things out regarding his controversy. Those charges against him are quite serious, and it will take a while for it to be settled.

For now, it is hard to assume as to what BIGBANG is going to do after G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung will complete their mandatory military services late this year. T.O.P was already discharged early this month, and the 31-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor is currently spending his time checking out some pieces of art and has not mentioned anything about a new song, album, or film.
