T.O.P is the oldest member of BIGBANG while former member Seungri was the youngest. Despite their age gap, the pair have formed a bond and were close.
However, the last known moment that Seungri had talked to T.O.P was when he assured the fans last year that the 31-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor was doing well in the military. This update from the former BIGBANG member seemingly confirmed that he had talked to T.O.P at the time.
Of course, T.O.P and Seungri probably talked over the phone multiple times or even met up privately while the former was still completing his military service. But now that the BIGBANG rapper has been discharged, neither of them revealed if they have talked to each other.
Seungri is currently facing seven criminal charges and is understandably focusing more on this matter. T.O.P, on the other hand, is spending quite a lot of his time checking out some pieces of art.
This, however, doesn’t mean that T.O.P and Seungri don’t talk anymore. The boys have been together in the YG Entertainment boy group for over a decade, so it doesn’t make sense if they would start ignoring each other now.
It is worth noting that T.O.P also dealt with his controversy in the past, where he was involved in a marijuana scandal with then-girlfriend Han Seo Hee. The BIGBANG star and Seungri probably felt that they don’t need to stir up more drama by going out in public places together or share on social media that they have met up and talked.
Although there is no solid confirmation that T.O.P and Seungri contacted each other after the former’s discharge and the latter’s retirement, it is safe to assume that they don’t have a problem picking the phone up and call each other whenever they want to.
For now, it seems that T.O.P and Seungri are just staying away from the limelight as much as possible while people are still buzzing about their controversies. The main reason why the 28-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, entrepreneur, DJ, and creative director retired is not to drag other people to his charges.
“At this point, I think it would be best if I retire from the entertainment industry,” Seungri announced back in March. “I decided on retiring from the entertainment industry as the issues that I caused a societal disturbance with are too major. Regarding the issues that are being investigated, I will be investigated diligently and reveal all the suspicions.”
