BIGBANG has been in the business for over ten years. With that said, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri have enough time to save up and expand their brands.
While the boys have always been very passionate about their K-pop career, they also tried out other things. Take T.O.P, for example. The lead rapper of BIGBANG is also a respected actor. As for G-Dragon, he took his title “fashion icon” to the next level and created his own fashion brand PEACEMINUSONE.
Former BIGBANG maknae Seungri is known for his businesses. From clubs to restaurants, it seems that the 28-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, entrepreneur, DJ, and creative director have them all. And it is also worth noting that all the BIGBANG stars own a lot of properties, both for personal and for business.
Although Daesung is not that vocal regarding his businesses, a shocking report revealed that a building that the 30-year-old singer, actor, and television personality own in Gangnam is allegedly used for prostitution by a tenant. Other reports claim that drugs were also being sold there.
But since a tenant is the one involved in the issue, Daesung should not be dragged into the controversy. However, he is the owner of the building, and he admitted his shortcomings for not doing enough research before purchasing the building.
“The building described in the reports is one that I purchased just before enlisting and is a building that has been under my name,” Daesung wrote through YG Entertainment. “I enlisted almost immediately after buying [the building], and as a result from it, I would like to once more sincerely apologize for my inexperienced management of the building.”
The BIGBANG star then assured everyone that he would make sure to do what is needed to be done. “For establishments that have been identified to have done illegal activities, we will immediately be taking legal action, and with my responsibilities as the landlord, I will do my best,” he noted.
Daesung is currently completing his mandatory military service. He is expected to be discharged before the year ends.
Meanwhile, Seungri is dealing with many serious charges as he is allegedly involved in the scandal. The troubled idol then decided to retire from the entertainment world, meaning he is no longer a member of BIGBANG and an artist of YG Entertainment, to focus on settling the controversy.
