It is already a public knowledge that titles like "Starfield" "GTA 6," and "The Elder Scrolls 6" are releasing on PlayStation 5 at some time in the nearest future, but Techland is more specific and recently gave fans the first-ever new title guarantee. In one interview, a spokesperson from Techland revealed that the upcoming title "Dying Light 2" will be released in different generations. In other words, it will not only be released on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One but will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.

During the interview, Techland's spokesperson was asked if there is a chance that the game will be cross-gen released. The spokesperson said that the company always has its eye on the new toys. The spokesperson said that it has always been the team's plan since the start of the game's production; it further revealed that "Dying Light 2" was intentionally designed as a cross-generation title.

It can be recalled that both Sony and Microsoft have already confirmed that the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Scarlett will have backwards compatibility. Interestingly, the comment of the Techland spokesperson suggests that "Dying Light 2" will have a standalone release on the consoles, specifically, those with fast loading speeds and superior visuals. The upcoming sequel is a first-person open-world adventure set in a city ravaged by the undead.

What can you expect from "Dying Light 2?" the upcoming sequel will feature survival-based scavenging, parkour, and free-running. The story will revolve on a decade and a half of humanity struggling to fight the virus, according to the game's description. The game further describes the human condition as the last human settlement plagued with an infected, unforgiving world.

In regards to Sony's next-generation console, the PlayStation 5 is anticipated to launch towards the last part of 2020. Based on previous reports, the PlayStation 5 is shaping up to be a monster in a gaming console that will back 8K resolution, ray-tracing, and super-fast loading times. Meanwhile, "Dying Light 2" is coming on the Spring of 2020.
