The Redmond-based tech titan accidentally leaked today the internal-only version of the Microsoft Windows 10 to testers. The leak shows a new Start menu design, which looks like the company already replaced the live tiles with app icons. Thankfully, the version was for devices running on 32-bit systems.

According to Windows Insider, the Redmond-based tech titan accidentally released the version of Windows 10 supposedly intended for testers to all Windows 10 testers. The Windows 10 build 18947 was for the internal Xbox development and for testers using 32-bit devices. While the build is no longer available now, the release was seen by all Windows 10 testers regardless if they are in the slow ring test or fast ring.

The mistake is an embarrassing one on the part of Microsoft's Windows 10 testing efforts. Based on the photo shared by Windows Live and NTAuthority, the internal build seems to include a new design for the Start menu, which looks like the company is already dropping the Live Tiles. It is possible that what was earlier released was the very early testing version of for the Windows Lite version.

Noticeably, there is also a GIF search tool in the emoji picker for the Microsoft Windows 10. The new Start menu comes with a search bar on the top part that allows you to search for both web and app. It also has an area designated for suggested apps which might suggest apps based on the programs you are running on your device or based on the apps that you frequently use.

Additionally, the new Start menu supports Dark Mode. This is not the first time that Microsoft made a mistake. In 2017 the Redmond-based tech giant released the internal version of Microsoft Windows 10 for mobile and PC and triggered some devices to get into a reboot loop. The company immediately saw the mistake and resolved the issue with affected Microsoft Windows 10 users using a device recovery tool.

According to Dona Sarkar, Microsoft Windows Insider, the Redmond-based tech giant was checking on this most recent issue. Later, the company's spokesperson said that the release was an error and that they are already removed the build. It is important to note that the build is intended for internal use.

This means that there is no guarantee that these features will be shared with the public. However, many believe that the leaked Microsoft Windows 10 build was designed for Windows Lite. It would be a stretch to assume that the Redmond-based tech giant will bring this to the Windows 10 desktop also.
