A lot is about to happen in The Walking Dead Season 10. Aside from Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) surprising allegiance, a war is about to happen between their group and the Whisperer.
AMC has dropped the official plot synopsis of the new season, and it teased a major war is about to happen. Published on the network's website, it said the survivors are preparing for a battle that they can never avoid.
The Walking Dead Season 10 is set in the spring, a few months after the previous season ended. Here, a group of survivors would try to cross into Whisperer territory during the winter.
The communities are still dealing with the aftermath of Apha's (Samantha Morton) display of power. They are all following the newly imposed borderlines, while they are also preparing for a battle that may become unavoidable.
However, the Whisperers' threat is like no other that they have faced before. Unfortunately, it is a force that they may never win due to a vast horde of the dead it has. The fear it brings will affect the communities and give birth to paranoia, propaganda, secret agendas, and infighting. It will end up putting everyone on a test in The Walking Dead Season 10.
Meanwhile, the new season will be the last time fans are about to see Danai Gurira reprise her role as Michonne. Hence, AMC will focus mostly on the character, giving her a proper sendoff and a new romance with Ezekiel (Khary Payton), per TVLine.
The Walking Dead Season 10 trailer also teased Alpha is aiming to have a new fight. Of course, Michonne and the rest of the gang are not going to step back and will be ready for a battle.
Carol (Melissa McBride) even said Alpha has to die and she may do something about it. Negan also hinted what lies ahead as a battle is about to ensue.
"The boogeyman just stuck his gnarly skin-covered mask out from behind that closet door," he said. "And people are putting their sh-ting pants back on."
Aside from a great war, there will be new faces coming to The Walking Dead Season 10. Thora Birch will join the show as a new Wshiperer named Gamma. She is said to be a "fiercely loyal lieutenant" of Alpha.
The Leftovers star Kevin Carroll will also be seen in the series as the "intelligent survivor," Virgil. The Walking Dead Season 10 is set to be out on Oct. 6 on AMC.
