During the fourteenth season of the show, the finale has revealed what the plot would look like in its final run. And according to Entertainment Weekly, the fifteenth season will feature Sam and Dean's efforts to prevent "the end" from happening.
In the finale, God has been true to his words all along. And when he welcomed the Winchesters to the end, all of their previous nemesis, including the ones they've thought to win over, has emerged from the ground and rose up.
Quite obviously, the end that God is referring to is the end of the world. But of course, Sam and Dean will do everything to stop this. So basically, this is the main path that the show is taking for its final course.
Supernatural Season 15 is revealed to be a very special one for all of its cast members and production crews. Not only because it serves as the final season, but because most of the show's cast members are helping with the series' course in terms of production.
As it happens, Jensen Ackles and Matt Cohen will return not only to reprise their roles but to also direct a few episodes. The co-showrunner, Andrew Dabb, has revealed a few details about the matter in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Per his statements, Matt Cohen, who plays the role of the young John Winchester, will be directing the finale of Supernatural Season 15. It is also uncovered that Richard Speight Jr. will return to direct episodes.
As for the series main creator, Eric Kripke, he shared his sentiments about the show's final run despite the fact that he is no longer involved in the day-to-day production as per Cartermatt. He contended how "proud" he is for all of the ventures and accomplishments of the series, along with its cast and crew.
Supernatural Season 15, which will house a total of 20 episodes, is set to premiere on October 10, on The CW.
