WARNING: This article contains spoilers for The 100 season 6 finale. Read at your own risk.
The 100 season 6 finale is set to arrive next week with a title, "The Blood of Sanctum." Some endings are meant to have a happy moment, but not within this upcoming episode, especially since the show has no problem in killing some of its characters. Thus, someone could die, and things could further go crazy as the finale approaches.
According to the synopsis of The 100 season finale, the Sanctum will serve as the battleground between the non-believers and the devout, and the mystery of the anomaly deepens. So, what can viewers expect in this finale? First, the battle could serve as a cliffhanger leading to season 7, and some of the mysteries would be carried on in the next installment.
Since the setting of the season finale is Sanctum, will the storyline involving the Sanctum wrap up from here? That remains a question at this point, yet the finale might also dive deeper into everything that is going on with the anomaly. Will it be resolved as well?
Surely, there'll be more questions left hanging in The 100 season 6 finale, and it would open the door for the seventh season. Also, Jason Rothenberg and the entire writing staff wouldn't tie everything on the finale, leaving a huge cliffhanger to make viewers wanting for more.
And since this would be the last episode for the season, there's also a chance to see some sort of a tease on what season 7 will look like. While they wouldn't want to give anything much away, they could tease some scenes on what to expect on the upcoming installment.
But as mentioned, someone could die within this episode, as things get tough in here. Characters die in this series, and that's not a surprise for loyal viewers. This already happened before in the show, and this could happen again in the finale, or season 7.
But aside for the possibility of death in the upcoming episode, there's still another question that needed an answer: will there be a chance of peace? In the world full of conflicts and chaos, it's nice to see the characters working together and cooperating to achieve a greater goal.
The 100 season 6 finale will air on Tuesday, August 6, on The CW. Jason Rothenberg writes the episode, and directed by Ed Fraiman.
