Farouk (played by Oded Fehr) will carry out his plans for revenge in the finale episode of Blood & Treasure season 1. Airing on Tuesday, Aug. 6, on CBS, this episode will change the lives of Danny (played by Matt Barr) and Lexi (played by Sofia Pernas).

The episode synopsis of Blood & Treasure season 1 suggests that Danny and Lexi will encounter a big shift as their lives will be severely affected by Farouk's revenge. The bigger question, however, is if Farouk will die or get what's due him and be locked away in the season finale.

As the season's villain, Fehr has played the role of Farouk with credibility and ease. However, it looks like his story could end with the Blood & Treasure season 1 finale as Danny and Lexi embark on a new adventure in the second season.

CBS renewed Blood & Treasure for season 2 last June, and the show has been set to return to the small screen in the summer of 2020. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the second season will take Danny and Lexi to Russia and Southeast Asia; thus, suggesting that Farouk's character would likely not fit into the storyline anymore.

The network's EVP for Current Programs, Amy Reisenbach, confirmed that they have a story pitch for Blood & Treasure's next season.

"Blood & Treasure is a fun, escapist adventure with comedic elements filmed in multiple locales around the world that has been a great performer and a wonderful addition to our summer schedule," she said.

The show's penultimate episode, which aired last July 30, had Danny learn the truth about his father's incarceration. He also figured out that Jay (played by John Larroquette) could be helping out Farouk.

It turned out that Jay, whom Danny has looked up to all his life, is Farouk's dad. And now that the truth is out, Jay delivered one last blow before things burst. He poisoned Dr. Castillo thereby ruining any chances of reconciling with Danny.

Meanwhile, Barr told TV Insider that a lot did change with his character and Pernas's Lexi since the show began.

"This treasure hunt has really been about them finding each other again, growing closer, and learning to trust each other unconditionally," the actor said. "Danny's becoming more like Lexi, and Lexi is becoming more like Danny."
