Rob Thomas' famous series adaption of iZombie has become a huge hit ever since the show's arrival in 2015, on The CW. But after receiving five-season orders, the series is announced to end its course on its fifth installment.

On May 2018, The CW renewed and ordered the fifth season of iZombie. While this has become a joyful moment for the fandom, the network revealed that it will serve as the "final chapter" of the DC-based series. And a year after, the start of the end has begun.

Having a total of 13 episodes, the series concluded just recently. In fact, it's been just a few days ago since the finale aired. And based on the final plot of the course, the characters, along with their respective arcs, were given a "justifiable" ending as per reports.

According to Variety, the series creator, Rob Thomas, claimed that it has become a very "lovely bow" for the show as they were able to conclude it in his own way. In fact, he also explained that they've known the "whole time" what will happen to Liv in the end.

With his statements during the interview, it immediately put all assertions and assumptions at rest concerning the show's possible future. However, things became confusing when reports about Veronica Mars' revival spiraled all over the media.

A few weeks ago, Veronica Mars has been confirmed to continue its course after its 12-year break on screen. And since the popular series that has an established "cult following" is also a product of Rob Thomas' mind, many people thought that iZombie might also get a revival in the coming years.

As per Cartermatt, it is a possibility considering that the two shows are all created by the same person. However, it is not difficult to point out that iZombie has already closed its doors for a continuation. Not to mention, the finale had a huge "time jump." So, if in case that the show will still continue its plot, then it might be really challenging to put it all up.

Accordingly, it is best to assume that Season 6 will not happen anytime soon. But if anything changes, certainly, the fans will be the first one to know all about it.

Veronica Mars Season 4 premiered and arrived on July 19, on Hulu. As for iZombie Season 5, the finale recently aired on August 2, on The CW.
