One of Princess Diana’s many titles was the “People’s Princess.” The reason behind this title is the fact that the Princess of Wales always made herself available to the public.
People are intimidated by the Royal family, but Princess Diana would always make them feel like she was one of them. She was loved by many for being so approachable.
Princess Diana’s youngest son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, on the other hand, are not as open as the late princess. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been criticized many times for their need to maintain privacy, and one Royal expert even claimed that the Princess of Wales would not have approved of their behavior.
“Diana would be appalled, she had enough nous to know when to put on a show,” writer Lady Colin Campbell said. “She was very aware of how important it was to be gracious, while Meghan — and Harry to an extent — trot out the charm when it suits them, but otherwise are graceless.”
The author believes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “depriving” the public by being “pretentious.” Campbell then pointed out that the Duchess of Sussex may not be fully aware of how it’s like to be royal. “Her behavior shows a lack of understanding and appreciation of what being royal is. I’m not sure who she thinks she is behaving this way,” she noted.
Most of the Royal family members have been in the spotlight since they were born, so they are used to dealing with the public. Since Meghan Markle was an actress, many thought that she would know how to deal with these situations as well.
But it seems that the Duchess of Sussex is snubbing royal tradition and wanting to have her own path as the mother of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry is not completely innocent in this scenario as he allowed it to happen.
According to a report, Meghan Markle plans to raise Archie vegan. The Duchess of Sussex had shared in an interview that she's been adopting an animal-free diet in the past. An insider then said that Queen Elizabeth is not a fan of Meghan's attempt of pushing the boundaries.
