There will be no more Colony season 4 on USA Network or any streaming platform. Despite a fan petition to save the show, all efforts have failed as the cast members have moved on from the series.
Colony lead star Josh Holloway has signed on to join Kevin Costner in Paramount Network's Yellowstone season 3. The drama series has received a renewal, which will return on the air in the summer of 2020. According to Deadline, Holloway will play the character of Roarke Carter, described as "a handsome, charming, shaggy-haired hedge fund manager with ambitious plans in Montana."
Holloway's Colony co-star Sarah Wayne Callies is also set to star in a new show on NBC called Council of Dads. According to TV Line, the actress will play Robin, the pregnant wife of lead actor Tom Everett Scott in this feel-good drama.
Peter Jacobson is currently filming the movie titled Violet with Olivia Munn and Justin Theroux. He is also doing two films after this commitment -- a family drama called Joyful, and a thriller called Don't Look There.
Alex Neustaedter has booked a role in the high-profile series Prism for NBC after his stint on Colony. The show is reportedly inspired by the Japanese movie Rashomon which was directed by Akira Kurosawa. Neustaedter will play the role of Michael Jamison, a master manipulator who doesn't lay down his cards on the table. Prism is about a murder trial told from different perspectives to present different versions of the story to the viewers.
Tory Kittles will soon be seen in the movie Harriet, which will play in theaters in November 2019. It's a complete departure from his Colony gig because this is a period drama about the life of America's historical heroine, Harriet Tubman.
Colony debuted on cable in 2016 as a dystopian series after the Earth has been colonized by aliens. It focuses on the Bowman family who tries to change the course of their lives by rebelling against the extra-terrestrial group.
The show was created by Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal and aired 36 episodes of the course of three seasons. USA Network, however, decided to cancel the show due to poor ratings despite earning praises from author Stephen King for its smart and suspenseful storyline.
After its cancellation announcement, fans launched a petition asking Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Syfy, and HBO to take over the show. Nearly 23,000 affixed their signatures in the online call, but Colony season 4 did not get renewed.
