Many fans were delighted after The CW confirmed that the American primetime television soap opera based on the 1980s series of the same name was renewed for another season. The second installment had a lot of twists and turns that surprised most viewers. No official details about the next installment have been made public as of yet, but Dynasty Season 3 is expected to be as legendary as its predecessors.
The show had a lot of cliffhangers in the Season 2 finale. Though the forthcoming Dynasty Season 3 is expected to pick up where the last installment left off, devoted viewers of the show could no longer wait to know about the fate of Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies), Jack "Liam" Ridley-Lowden (Adam Huber), Jeff Colby (Sam Adegoke), and Steven Carrington (James Mackay). A lot of fans were alarmed when Ana Brenda Contreras, who replaced Nathalie Kelly as Cristal Jennings, confirmed her departure from the show.
"In terms of the Cristal situation, it's very simple - we hoped that Ana Brenda Contreras would have continued," CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour. "She has a personal issue that we had no control over, so we recast her with Daniella Alonso. There's no dirt to be found," the network exec went on. Though Ana Brenda would no longer be visible in the forthcoming Dynasty Season 3, most of the cast members are still coming back for another run.
In fact, reports claimed that Fallon and Liam would be reunited in Dynasty Season 3 even after Adam Carrington (Sam Underwood) hurt the latter in the Season 2 finale. However, rumors suggested that the character of Adam Huber would think twice on tying the knot with the show's lead character, especially after two corpses were found in the Carrington Lake. It remains to be seen if Fallon and Liam would exchange their wedding vows in the forthcoming new series.
Aside from Liam, Jeff Colby and Steven Carrington are expected to return in Dynasty Season 3. As a matter of fact, Sam Adegoke confirmed his comeback thru an Instagram post with a caption saying, "Guess who's back. Here we go #Dynasty." It remains to be seen, however, if he would be regularly featured in the next season.
Steven, for his part, is expected to return to the Manor and, perhaps, reveal Adam's dirty antics. However, James Mackay has not yet revealed any details about his supposed return to the popular show. The series' third installment is set to return on October 11, at 9 p.m., in The CW.
