A lot of fans are now excited about what the upcoming new episodes of American television serial drama could offer. There has been limited information about the imminent new installment. Despite this, avid viewers of the show remain positive that Prison Break Season 6 is going to be an epic one.

There is no denying that the yet-to-be-released new season of the Paul Scheuring's creation is among the most awaited series right now. It even became a viral topic online since fans are demanding to have the Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell-led show back for another run. So, what is likely to transpire in Prison Break Season 6?

Reports have it that the forthcoming installment would be a lot different from its predecessors. It is claimed that Prison Break Season 6 would be a new iteration of the series that is very much likely to feature a significant time-lapse. Series showrunner-writer Paul also shared that the characters of Wentworth Miller (Michael J. Scofield) and Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) are returning for another set of adventures.

There are even speculations suggesting that Prison Break Season 6 is likely to focus on the life of Michael Scofield living a normal life outside the prison. It is claimed that Wentworth Miller's character would be spending more time with his family in the next installment. However, things are not going to be easy for him as he is expected to do a lot of adjustments caused by the trauma that he experienced in the past seasons.

Other reports stated that Lincoln Burrows would be working for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Prison Break Season 6. CIA, for starters, is a civilian foreign intelligence service of the federal government of the United States. The character of Dominic Purcell is, also, said to help Michael Scofield adapt to his new environment in the upcoming installment.

Meanwhile, Prison Break Season 6 could be the series' last installment. This is after Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier revealed, in February, that there are no plans to revive the show at the moment. "There's no plan right now to revive Prison Break or any of the other franchises, but when the creators come with a story that they think is the right time to tell, we are so ready to listen because those are some franchises of which I'm so proud and feel so fortunate that they're in our stable," the network exec said.

The production of the series' sixth installment is, currently, ongoing. In fact, Dominic Purcell confirmed the news on an Instagram post in December 2018. Fox has yet to reveal the official release date of the imminent new season. However, fans expect it to arrive in early 2020.
